The Montana Secretary of State has strict deadlines for filing your annual reports each year. Be sure to mark these dates on your calendar so your business does not face any fines or administrative actions for filing late or not filing at all. https://sosmt.gov/business
January 1 – April 15: All entities must file an annual report each year by the April 15th deadline. Annual reports filed after this date will incur late fees.
September 1: All entities that have not filed their annual reports by this date will receive an Involuntary Dissolution/Revocation Intent Notice. Foreign entities will have 2 more months from this date to file. Domestic entities will have 3 more months from this date to file. Late fees will still apply.
November 1: All Foreign entities that have not filed their annual report by this date will be Revoked.
December 1: All Domestic entities that have not filed their annual report by this date will be Involuntarily Dissolved.
